What sort of style do you have?
Fun, unique, and vibrant. I know how important it is to capture the REAL moments in your child’s life. I want your children to be themselves. There will be moments of silliness, shyness, crying, calmness, and craziness. This is life…. and that is what I want to capture. I know amongst everything, there will be sweet tender moments that I find that remind us all that our children are gifts. It is ALL of these memories that you will cherish.
What does my session fee include?
The session fee pays for my time and talent during the session, post production editing, and your private online gallery. This gallery is available for a 5 day period and will showcase the best 25 – 30 images from the session.
How far in advance should we book our session?
I ask that sessions be booked no later than three weeks prior to the date you wish to book. For newborn sessions, the sooner the better while you are still pregnant — see further down.
Where should our session take place?
Pick a location that suits your family best! We can meet at an outdoor location (a park or beach) or stay in the comfort of your home, I come to you! If you have a creative location in mind just ask, I’m always open to something new.
What should we wear?
Simple clothing and solid colours work well. I also love fun bright colours and funky styles. It will take time for clothing changes. Set out or bring along fun hats, shoes and other accessories that compliment your child’s personality and I can help you put everything together. I recommend that you stay away from big logos and decals that may be distracting later in your photos. For a family session, you do not need to have everything matching – just choose colors that compliment each other. You will receive a clothing guide once you have reserved your session.
What sort of lighting do you use?
I typically shoot with solely natural light.
When will I get to see our photos from the session?
Typically within two weeks I will email you a link to your private online gallery with a password that you can share with your family and friends. This gallery will be available for five days and you will be asked to place your order by this time.
Do you photograph weddings?
I am currently not offering wedding photography services as my focus is newborn and child photography.
Do you offer birth photography?
Not at this time but I am looking into it. Please contact me if you are interested and live in the Newmarket/Aurora area.
How do I schedule my newborn photo session when I don’t know when s/he will be born?
Just tell me your estimated due date and then I’ll block off some time around that. When your baby finally does make his/her entrance, contact me as soon as you can and we will set a specific date from there. I ask that newborn sessions are held within 10 days of birth…that is when you’re going to get the most cooperation for all those adorable newborn poses. The MOST important thing, however, is to book your session as soon as you can WHILE you’re pregnant.
